For the modded/modpack options, these are either new packs and we are currently unsure of their performance (in which case they may be moved to supported later down the line), or are popular enough to be on the list so people can install them easier but are known to have a very high chance of performance issues - you use them at your own risk or issues/performance problems. How To Download & Install Sky Factory 3
The Sky Factory 3 modpack can be simply explained by having you start in the sky with a tree and a piece of dirt and that’s about it, from then on all you need to do is use the mods in Sky Factory to complete all the tasks at hand and each player gets a different set of challenges.

Install & Login To The Twitch App
Once you have downloaded the Twitch Launcher App, all you need to do now is run the program by double-clicking on the downloaded file which will run the installing process.
A window will open up and all you need to do from there is click on the Install button and the rest of the process will be automated from thereon.
Once the Twitch App is installed, it will open up automatically or if it doesn’t you can open it by double-clicking on the icon on your desktop.
After that you will either need to Log in to your account or simply create a new one, to make the Sky Factory modpack to work.
Setup The Twitch App For Minecraft Modding
After logging in you will be taken to the home screen, check out the menu bar and find the Mods button to open up a page.
This new page will have a bunch of games on it, and Minecraft shouldn’t be grayed out here. Click on Minecraft and then you will be taken to a page which says Let’s Play Minecraft.
When you get to this page, simply click on the Install button that you can find at the bottom of the Twitch App.

Inside the Twitch App, you will need to search for Browse FTB Modpacks, and then you will see an FTB News section, below it you will find a search bar. Type Sky Factory 3 here and then proceed by clicking Install.

Once you have installed Sky Factory 3 you will need to run it, all you have to do is click on the purple Play button which will open up the Minecraft Launcher. Log In to your Minecraft account, the same one which you have on Minecraft.net

Once the Minecraft Launcher is on, you will need to launch Sky Factory, look at the small arrow beside the Play button. Click on the small arrow and look for Sky Factory 3. This will make sure that your game will run with the Sky Factory 3 Modpack.

Step 1) Download The Twitch App/FTB Launcher
Sky Factory 3 is made by Feed The Beast, also known as simply FTB. FTB is actually owned by Curse/Twitch. Thus, in order to install Sky Factory 3, you will need to download the Twitch launcher. Luckily, this is super simple to do. Just click here or on the big purple ‘Download Twitch’ button above. This will take you off to FTB’s website. Just click on the red ‘Download Now’ button in the center of this page. The Twitch launcher will start downloading immediately for Windows, MacOS, or Linux depending on what platform you are using. We are going to be using the Windows version of the Twitch app for this tutorial.
Step 2) Install & Login To The Twitch App
Now that you have the Twitch app downloaded, we need to install it. This is actually very easy as it installs just like any other program. Double click on the file you downloaded from the FTB website. This will look like the Twitch logo. A window will open up where you want to click the ‘Install’ button. It will then automatically install the Twitch app. After it has installed, the Twitch app should open up automatically. If not, a shortcut on your desktop will have appeared. You can click that to launch the Twitch app for the first time.
On your first login, you will need to either login to or create a Twitch account. You must have a Twitch account in order to install the Sky Factory 3 modpack. If you have two-factor authentication setup, you will need to verify that you are the one logging into your account. After you have logged into Twitch, it’s time to setup Twitch for modding Minecraft!
Step 3) Setup The Twitch App For Minecraft Modding

When you first log into the Twitch app, you will be met with a home screen. We want to focus on the menu bar here though. Click on the ‘Mods’ button in the menu bar to open up a page with a bunch of different games on it. Minecraft, however, should be one of the games that isn’t grayed out. Click on Minecraft, and a page that says ‘Let’s Play Minecraft!’ in big letters at the top will show up. What you need to do here is click on the purple ‘Install’ button in the bottom center of the Twitch app. This will then install the Minecraft portion of the Twitch app.
Step 4) Download Sky Factory 3
We are finally done setting up the Twitch app! We can now learn how to download Sky Factory 3. Because of the Twitch app though, this is really easy to do. Just click on ‘Browse FTB Modpacks’ at the top of the screen. You will then see a search box under the ‘FTB News’ section. In this search box search ‘Sky Factory 3’. You will then see the Sky Factory 3 modpack show up under the search box. Click on this, and then, click on the purple ‘Install’ button in the top left under the Twitch logo. At this point, Sky Factory 3 will begin installing.
Step 5) Launch Sky Factory 3 With Twitch & Login To Minecraft
After Sky Factory 3 is installed, you need to launch it. This is very, very easy, just click the purple ‘play’ button that appears right on Sky Factory. Super simple and super easy. The default Minecraft launcher will the open up. Here, you will need to login to your Minecraft account. You need a Minecraft account from Minecraft.net. Use the same exact account that you have on Minecraft.net to login to the Minecraft launcher.
Step 6) Select & Launch Sky Factory 3
Once you have logged into the Minecraft launcher, we need to launch Sky Factory 3. This is super simple. Just click the little green arrow to the right of the play button and select the ‘Sky Factory 3’ profile. Then, click play. Minecraft will the open up and run Sky Factory 3. It may take some time to run on the first launch this is very normal. You may also need to add more RAM to be able to play Sky Factory 3. Here is how you can do that.
Step 7) Have Fun Playing Sky Factory 3!
